MINDS believes that a better understanding of Africanness begins with systematic research and rigorous analysis of African heritage. This work seeks to develop an inclusive conceptualisation of Africanness, grounded in the values,and lived realities of African societies. Anchored in this understanding, the programme aims to inform development initiatives that are culturally grounded and more effective in addressing Africa’s development challenges.
