As you will no doubt have noticed the Mandela Institute for Development Studies (MINDS) has a colourful and bold new look. We are embracing the vibrant array of colours and patterns that make our continent so breathtakingly beautiful and memorable in its richness and diversity.
PROGRAM COLOURS & NEW NAMES
We have introduced a palette of complimentary colours for each of our programs that work with the two dominant MINDS logo colours. The African Heritage Program features a mustard hue, while the High-Level Dialogue Program, with its rich deep blue colour, has been re-named the Economic and Regional Integration Program and incorporates the High-Level Dialogue Series, which remains a key activity of MINDS. The Youth Program has been given a vibrant and bold green colour palette and the Scholarship Program features a deep maroon colour.
By giving each of the programs a distinctive colour that blends with the overall colour palatte update we look forward to a wonderful explosion of colour to match the conversations and robust dialogue that each of our programs generate.
MINDS CONNECT
It was Nelson Mandela’s hope that MINDS would “make a real difference in the resolution of the challenges that confront Africa, through vibrant and robust debate, interrogating current paradigms, and offering new approaches.”
We have launched a wonderful new online content and engagement platform called MINDS CONNECT. MINDS CONNECT offers our Alumni, Scholars, networks, stakeholders, patrons, trustees and staff an inclusive and visible platform to find common agendas to rally around and work towards driving transformation of the continent to realize the socio-economic and political progress needed to improve conditions and living standards of the African society. The platform will primarily focus on issues/challenges within the areas covered by the MINDS programs, which are aimed at addressing the developmental challenges on the African continent related to African identity, regional and economic integration, youth participation in elections and governance and leadership development. Please refer to the MINDS CONNECT Editorial Policy located on the website for more details on how you can share your Blog or Opinion Editorial. #MINDSConnect
ON THE HORIZON
Looking ahead we will start actively showcasing the transformative leadership and development work being undertaken by our inspirational Alumni as a means to showcase the changes and shifts that they are creating in their communities and countries.
